The garden and outside spaces
Our farm sits in seven acres of meadows bordered by woods, with the Romanée river running through our fields. Encounters with deer, rabbits, foxes and badgers, as night falls, are not unusual. A multitude of birds are also offered up to observers.
THE VEGETABLE GARDEN AND ORCHARD
The vegetables from our garden are grown without any chemicals and according to permaculture principles. We use only compost, straw and our donkeys’ manure to enrich our soil. In order to become self-sufficient in fruit and vegetables over time, we have also planted a conservatory orchard with 30 or so trees of traditional varieties.
OUR ANIMALS
Our farm’s most important full-time occupants!
Ippie, our lovable border collie cross, rules the roost. Her favourite hobby: playing football with our guests.
Vanille and Valentine, our affectionate and mischievous donkeys, have been with us since this adventure began. They help with the upkeep of the meadows and supply first-class manure for our vegetable garden.
The hens help us keep our waste down and gift us their delicious eggs.
Our Indian runner ducks’ job is to keep slug and other vegetable eater numbers down.
We have a whole tribe of cats who scare off vermin and enjoy a cuddle at all times of day.

WHERE TO FIND US
We are 2½ hours from both Paris and Lyon, 15 minutes from Junction 22 on the A6 motorway. At the end of little country lane, surrounded by nature yet easy to reach by car.
